THINGS TO DO: From founding fathers to fishing poles, adventure awaits
In a scene from Bradford Little Theatre’s production of “1776,” Pennsylvania representative John Dickinson (Andy Wilson) and Massachusetts representative John Adams (Edward Hennessey) come to blows during a heated argument over the American colonies declaring their independence from the British Isles. "1776" chronicles the remarkable story of John Adams' determined effort to convince the Continental Congress to vote for American independence. Bold, funny and deeply moving, the musical features an unforgettable score that has captivated audiences for decades. Performances held as part of the nationwide America250 celebrations will be staged at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in Bromeley Family Theater on the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford campus.
