Smethport has announced its Winter & Spring Sports Awards winners for 2026. In Boys Basketball, Colin Okerlund (MVP); Vincent Costa (Most Improved) and Cole Burdick (School Record for most three point-shots in a single game with 9) were recognized. In Girls basketball, Madelyn McKean was MVP. In Bocce, Cordell Baker was MVP; Abigail Sherwood was MVP in Winter Cheerleading; in Track and Field; Maddox Dickerson (Track MVP for boys, School Record in 400 meter; 51.09 seconds); Mara Ours (Track MVP for girls); Nicholas Learn (Field MVP for Boys); Madelyn McKean (Field MVP for girls, school record in pole vault at 9’9”) and Softball: Coral Tronetti was Team MVP. In baseball, Mason Swanson was named Offensive MVP and Colin Riekofksy was named Defensive MVP; and Elizabeth Slade was Top Varsity Lady Shooter for Trap. For annual awards: Jonah Ganoe was presented the Woody Maynard Award; Jenna Goodman was presented the Glenn Mercer Award; Cole Burdick and Mara Ours were recognized with the Joe Galloway Award and Burdick also received the Eddie Faes Award.
