For the third year in a row, Kane area youth participated in the Pittsburgh-based “Kids of Steel” program, a free running and movement initiative for children in grades K-6. This year, 125 students participated in the program, embracing a variety of ways to stay active and to complete the equivalent of a marathon, 26.2 miles, over the course of several weeks. In addition, 60 students from the Kane KOS program participated in the Chic-Fil-A Kids Marathon during Pittsburgh Marathon weekend.
