The Owls ended up with a 14-0 record in the D-9 Central League.  Logan Kohler won the 110M HH(15.26), the 300M IH(40.26), was on two relay 1st places.  He combined with Enzo Aiello ,Fabian Sherk, Tyler Simmons for a time of 44.17.  He ran on the 4x400M relay with Tyler Simmons, Kadyn Tessena and Danny Marasco for the win in 3:45.93.  Tyler also had 4 wins.  He won the 100M(11.41) and the high jump(5’10”) to complete his 4th 1st place.  Fabian Sherk won his specialties the long Jump(21’8”) and the triple jump(43’5”) for his 3rd win.  He also took 3rd in the high jump(5’8”).  Kadyn Tessena had two 1sts running in the 4x800M and the 4x400m in addition to two 2nd places(200M-25.74 & 400M-54.91) for a solid day.  Danny Marasco won the 400M(54.22) and was 2nd in the long jump(19’8.5”) to go along with his win in the 4x400M relay.

“These five guys all have now scored over 200 points this season.  We have never had a couple in any previous season.  Logan has 358 points, Tyler 303, Fabian 289, Danny 220, and Kadyn 215.  For their respective careers they are all over 400 points with Logan at  656, Danny at 562, Kadyn at 469, Fabian at 448, and Tyler at 431.  This is a great group but their teammates really complete the team,” Bradford Coach Tom Tessena said.

Our other seniors include: Andrew Giordano won two events today, the Javelin (155’9”) and the Shot Put(45’4.25).  Marcus Terwilliger placed in four events.  He placed second in the triple jump, 300M IH, and the high jump(5’8”) and third in the long jump(19’5.75”).  Konnor Phillips took third in the shot Put(43’8.5”).  Jeremiah Long was second in the 100M(11.86) and third in the Javelin.  Trenton Johnson won the 800M(2:11.98).  Tony McDonald placed in the 110M HH and 3rd in the 300M IH.  Matt DeCasper was 3rd in the 200M.

“Enzo Aiello is one of the best pole vaulters in the area(14’4”) and runs well in the 4×100 relay.  He was  off today but will be strong at Districts next week,” Tessena said. “Simmons and Tessena are juniors but we have several underclassmen that are making a big contribution.”

Junior Landon Davenport had a good day with a 2nd place in the discus(129’9.5”) and a personal best in the shot put(42’0”).  Junior Carson Miller ran on the 4x800M team and also placed 2nd in the 1600(4:15).  Sophomore Miles Deprator placed 3rd in the Discus(127’6.5”) and also threw the Shot(40’6”).  Freshman Ewan Bell won the 1600M(5:12.58) and had a personal best in the 800M(2:16.94).  freshman Ryan Nelson was also on the 4×800 team, ran the 400M(55.93) and tripled jump(34’0”).  Sophomore Jordan Hogue has put together a very good season.  He always runs the 4×800 and the 400M(3rd place -55.66).  Sophomore Grayson Daugherty won the pole Vault (9’9“).  Sophomore Sam Kakolewski won the 200M(24.95) and was 3rd in the 100M(12.20).  Another sophomore Xavier Frontino was 3rd in the 3200(11:34).  His brother Nikolai was 3rd in the 1600M(5:16.08).

“We have had a brutal 10 days with a meet with DuBois on April 28th, Altoona on the May1st, the Prom on Saturday night, the D-9 League Championship on Tuesday, and this last home meet Thursday.  We have had some guys sick as well but we need to get everyone healthy and rested for next Friday’s District 9 Championship.  Everyone will be out to beat us,” Tessena noted. “Teamwise DuBois and Punxy will be tough but St. Marys and Clearfield had a lot of first place guys and that will be disruptive.

“Our coaching staff is doing a great job.  Travis Faulkner takes care of the middle distance, distance, and relays.  Girls coach Larry Stillman does a super job with the jumpers.  Dave Cercone will have his throwers ready to compete.  New coach Mason Tootell is working very hard with the vaulters and hurdlers.  Our sprinters and relays are peaking at the right time.  They all have to have a positive attitude and rely on their training and coaching.  It should be a very exciting meet.  We have entered 28 boys for the meet. “
