Over the last two weekends, members of the Port Allegany High School Track and Field team broke two long-standing team records. On May 1, the girls 4x400 relay team took first place at the Coudersport Invitational with a time of 4:15.06. Team members include (pictured left to right): Alyssa Pelchy, Isla Lehmier, Lily Lehmier and Kylee Pelchy. Their time surpassed the previous record set at the 1981 NTL Championships by Susan Babcock Healy, Lyndi Stayer Ackerman, Laurie Stayer Lathrop, and Diane Spencer. The 1981 team's time of 4:18.5 still stands as the NTL Championship meet record. The Lehmier and Pelchy twins will look to break that meet record on Friday, May 8, at the NTL Championships, hosted by Port Allegany High School.
