Lisa McLaughlin

Lisa B. McLaughlin, 65, of Rochester Street passed away Monday (May 4, 2026) surrounded by her loving family at Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital.

Born July 28, 1960, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Edward F. and Phyllis Crouse Smith. She was a 1979 graduate of Bradford High School.

On June 16, 1979, at Asbury United Methodist Church, she married Michael F. McLaughlin, who survives.

Lisa was employed at Ramsbottom and retired as a residential supervisor from Evergreen Elm after 25 years of service. Lisa helped establish the Special Olympics Bowling League and volunteered for many years. She took great pride in helping people, most of all taking care of her residents and especially her family.

She was a member of Asbury Church, where she sang for weddings, and was involved in and volunteered for many of the church activities. She also enjoyed going to bingo and being home playing games with children, her favorite being Yahtzee.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Mike, of nearly 47 years, are three daughters, Amy (Michael) Kearns of Bradford, Jennifer (Neil) Rinard of Bradford and Erin (Cliff Phetteplace) Fauver of Olean; nine grandchildren, Halie, Hollie, Michaela, Liyah, Jonathan, Ryan, Rileigh, Sara and Andrew; three great-grandchildren, Kane, Tristan and Octavia; one brother, Clint (Judy) Smith of Lewis Run; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie A. Covert; two brothers, Gregory A. Smith and Lesley Smith; and special friend, Marjorie Arnett.

Family will receive friends 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday (May 8, 2026) at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ernie Perry, pastor of Asbury Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be directed to the American Lung Association or Evergreen Elm.
