Pitt-Bradford women’s lacrosse to play in AMCC Championship
The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women’s lacrosse team is headed to the AMCC Championship in the program’s first-ever year of conference competition
The second-seeded Panthers will take on top-seeded Alfred (N.Y.) State today at 1 p.m. at Alfred State’s Pioneer Stadium, looking to secure a conference title in their inaugural season.
Pitt-Bradford defeated the No. 3 seed Mount Aloysius 8-7 Tuesday at home to make the conference final.
Pitt-Bradford entered the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference tournament with a 3-1 conference record and a 10-6 overall record. Freshman midfielder Addison Molampy of Wallingford, Conn., leads the Panthers and ranks second in the AMCC with 13 goals in conference play. Molampy also registered four assists, ranking second in the AMCC with 17 points.
Freshman midfielder Christina Abel of York has also added 10 goals and one assist, ranking fifth with 11 points against AMCC competition.
Freshman goalkeeper Lily Thuman from Buffalo, N.Y., ranks second in the conference with 39 saves in league play, carrying 57.4 save percentage.
The Panthers are coached by interim first-year coach Tyrone Bowen-Collateta, a December 2025 Pitt-Bradford graduate and former assistant coach for Pitt-Bradford’s men’s team.
The winner will face the winner of the United East Conference for a trip to the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Tournament.
