Marian McCracken-Crowell, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and registered nurse

Marian McCracken-Crowell, 101, formerly of 15 N. Visa Ave. Ext., passed away Friday (April 3, 2026) at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born Sept. 9, 1924, in Ridgway, she was a daughter of the late George and Celesta Clyde Saylor. She was a 1942 graduate of Williamsport High School, and a graduate of Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing.

On Aug. 21, 1948, in Bradford, she married Paul G. McCracken, who passed away Feb. 12, 1998. On June 22, 2008, in Bradford, she married the Rev. Ralph Crowell, who died March 3, 2016.

Marian worked as a registered nurse at Bradford Regional Medical Center before joining Penn Bank.

Marion enjoyed wintering in Okeechobee, Fla., where she attended the Nazarene Church. She was a member of First Free Methodist Church, now B-Free, in Bradford.

Surviving are four daughters, Susan Conaghan of Rock Hall, Md., Paula (Ted) Miller of North Tonawanda, N.Y., Debra Clark of Bala Cynwyd and Vicki O’Grady of Apollo; seven granddaughters; 11  great-grandchildren; one stepson, Ron (Cathy) Crowell of Olathe, Kan.; one stepdaughter, Kathy (LW) Smith of Okeechobee; and several step-grandchildren.

Family will have a memorial service to be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
