Pittsburgh Steelers send another top decision maker to Ohio State Pro Day
COLUMBUS — The Pittsburgh Steelers are sending multiple top decision makers to Ohio State Pro Day, and while it was confirmed that general manager Omar Khan would be among them, so will head coach Mike McCarthy. This is McCarthy’s second pro day stop, with Georgia as the other one.
Offensive coordinator Brian Angelichio and defensive coordinator Patrick Graham are also expected to attend the pro day.
Khan attended Georgia pro day, but that was the only pro day he has attended so far. McCarthy was in Green Bay on Monday for a funeral.
Ohio State has plenty of talented players this year, but a lot of them are out of the Steelers’ reach. Linebackers Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese, wide receiver Carnell Tate, and safety Caleb Downs are all likely to be out of the Steelers’ range in the first round.
The Steelers still have other players to keep an eye on, however. Defensive tackle Kayden McDonald could be a first round pick, and if the Steelers wanted to go back into the trenches for their next pick, he could be someone they would add.
The Steelers team total wins line is currently set at 8.5 games on Caesars. Our Caesars Sportsbook review provides a complete guide on how to navigate through their site. If you’re interested in learning more about how to bet on NFL futures, visit our reliable NFL futures betting guide.
Meanwhile, tight ends Max Klare and Will Kacmarek are both potential mid-round targets the Steelers could look to add at a position that needs some depth behind Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington.
As for other potential depth options, safety Lorenzo Styles, cornerback Davison Igbinosun, and running back C.J. Donaldson are all potential targets they could look at in the middle to late rounds.
