Nellie L. Vecellio, 90, of Lewis Run passed away Tuesday (March 3, 2026) at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 27, 1935, in Lewis Run, a daughter of the late Sylvio and Angelina Vecellio.

She was a 1953 graduate of Bradford Area High School.

She was a member of the former Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and St. Bernard Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, working on crossword puzzles and visiting the casino. In her younger days she was a talented bowler, winning league and tournament events.

She was employed 46 years by the former Airco Speer / KOA Speer until her retirement.

She is survived by one brother, James (Debbie) Vecellio of Warren; and numerous loving and caring nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She loved and adored each one of them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lena (Bruno) Cary and Louise (Edward) Dudick; and brothers Henry (Rose) Vecellio and Leo (Sally) Vecellio.

At Nellie’s request there will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Saturday (March 7, 2026) at St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev. John Jacquel as celebrant.

Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
