On the same site, there are lists of words for various grade levels, along with a list of the most overused words in the English language.

That list includes the following: Very, really, just, literally, amazing, thing, stuff, awesome, nice, get/got, like, seriously, cringe, honestly, rizz, sus, vibes, and actually. Some are listed for being overused in a business atmosphere: circle back, deep dive, disrupt, gatekeeping, growth hacking, innovative, leverage, pivot, synergy and thought leader.

Instead of “actually,” try truly, indeed or really. Instead of the overused “amazing,” use astonishing, incredible or stunning.

Instead of “circle back,” use revisit or follow up. Instead of “deep dive,” try analyze or explore.

“While the words aren’t inherently wrong, using them too often can make your writing sound bland or lazy. Whether you’re writing an email, an essay, or even a social media post, knowing which words to limit can take your language from meh to memorable,” the site stated.

Bruh, ain’t that the chef’s kiss?
