Chris Fehlman

YOUNGSVILLE — Chris Fehlman, 72, of Youngsville passed away Feb. 7, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.

She was born in Port Allegany on Dec. 3, 1953, a daughter to the late Fred and Ruth Rickert Hemingway. Chris was a waitress for many years, worked as a tax preparer and at a children’s home in Youngsville. Her greatest passion was providing for the needs of her late husband, Ron Fehlman, and being the caregiver for her granddaughter, Alexis Welch.

She is survived by her daughter Samantha Skinner of Sugar Grove; and her son, Michael Hemingway in California; her brother, Fred Hemingway of Pittsburgh; her sisters, Kim (Bill) Graham of Bradford and Shirley (Jeff) Pecora of Lewistown; her brother-in-law, Paul Barnstorf of Hamburg, N.Y.; her beloved granddaughter, Alexis Welch; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Chris was preceded in death by her daughter Abigail Skinner; her sister, Roberta “Bobbie” Barnstorf; and her former husband, Charles “Chooch” Skinner.

A private graveside service will take place in Foster Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
