OLEAN, N.Y. — Charles Eugene Cobb, 76, of Olean passed away Friday (Feb. 6, 2026) at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Charles was born Nov. 12, 1949, in Bradford, a son of James and Betty Wells Cobb Sr. While a resident of The Pines he married Susan Briggs, who predeceased him.

He graduated from Bradford Area High School in 1968 and worked for the Kendall Refining Co. before attending the Pittsburgh Culinary Arts School. He worked as a chef in many places including Bradford Hospital, the Castle Restaurant and the Old Library Restaurant.

He leaves behind three daughters, Renee Cobb of Bradford and her children, Amber, Zach, Natasha and Joel; Charmaine (Tig) Zetwick of Crosby and her children, Zanaid, Alice and Adele; and Leslie (Jason Caskey) Cobb and her children, Mercedes and Kenzie; four sisters, Nancy (Greg) Newkirk of Bradford, Marcia (Skip) McCormick in South Dakota, Bonnie (John) Walker of Bradford and Darla (Bob) Augur of Westfield; one brother, James (Winnie) Cobb Jr. of Springdale; several great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Steve McDermott; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; one sister, Flynn McDermott; and a granddaughter, Mercedes Simonds.

At Charles’ request, no services are being planned at this time. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
