Thomas Brinkley
HOUSTON — Thomas J. Brinkley, 87, passed away Saturday (Feb. 7, 2026) at Houston Hospice.
Born April 10, 1938, in Bradford, Pa., he was the son of the late Clayton and Elizabeth Brinkley. He was a 1956 graduate of St. Bernard’s School. After graduation he moved to Houston, where he met his future wife, Wanda Pippins. They were married Oct. 4, 1958, and celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in 2025.
Tom worked for Southern Bell/AT&T until his retirement June 1, 2000.
In addition to his wife, Wanda, he is survived by two daughters, Donna (John) Cohen of Mabelvale, Ark., and Deborah (Davd) Lazenby of Houston; four grandchildren, Jeremy March of Galveston, Jason (Christina) March of Houston, Sarah (Tim) Matzdorff of Cypress and Mark (Debra) Lazenby of Houston; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sherry (Roger) Rhoades and Ann (Lenny) Schuppenhauer, both of Bradford.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Hurd; and an infant grandson, Christopher March.
Visitation and services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 15, 2026) at Brookside Memorial Park in Houston.
