HS Roundup: Port Allegany, NoPo boys claim wins

BOYS BASKETBALL

Port Allegany 40, Cameron County 35

Port Allegany’s Isac Amell scored 11 points, Jarrod Funk added nine points and five rebounds and Nick Wilfong scored 10 to key the Gators over the Red Raiders Tuesday during Senior Night.

For Cameron County, Isaac Gravanz scored 17 points and Beckett Bure and Taylan Tucker each contributed six points.

Northern Potter 46, Smethport 35

Northern Potter held a 27-13 lead at the half and scored 11 points in each remaining quarter to stay ahead of Smethport for the win Tuesday.

Colin Okerlund keyed the Hubber offense with 18 points.

In JV action, Smethport outscored NoPo 53-45.

Leading Smethport were Thomas Wolosewicz with 15 points, Mason Swanson with 11 points and 11 assists and Vinnie Costa with 10 points.

Bradford 53, Olean 12

Bradford used pins by seven Owls to secure a win over Olean Tuesday.

Bradford improves to 7-7 on the season.

JH BOYS BASKETBALL

Fretz boys basketball splits with Johnsonburg 

The 7th grade Rams cruised to a 41-19 victory over the Owls. Will Pantuso lead the Owls in scoring with 9 points, Eli Haynoski with 4 points, Kaiden Christjohn and Clay Trojanowski each tallied 2 points. Andon Troisi led the team in rebounds.

In the 8th grade game, the Owls won in convincing fashion, 48-15. Blake Luciano lead the way with 14 points, Paul Luzzi with 10 points, Finley Neighbour with 9 points, Brogan Kamats with 6 points, Nigel BenderJack with 5 points, Evan Cook and Ryder Dempsey with 2 tallies each.

The Owls travel to ECC on Friday.
