HAMBURG, N.Y. — Western New York’s largest equine event, WNY EquiFest, returns to the Hamburg Fairgrounds March 14 and 15, offering two days of education, competition and hands‑on experiences for horse enthusiasts of all ages. The free public event will be held inside the Showplex and Agriculture Discovery Center, welcoming experienced riders, families and first‑time visitors.

EquiFest is expected to draw thousands of attendees and more than 100 vendors, filling two heated buildings with equine equipment, trailers, apparel, feed and supplies. Additional vendor, sponsor and clinician opportunities remain available. Throughout the weekend, visitors can attend clinics, live demonstrations and breed presentations, explore two demonstration rings, enjoy youth activities and watch a roping competition. Food vendors and retail shopping will also be available.

This year’s event debuts the Trail Challenge, a timed obstacle course designed to showcase communication, control and confidence between horse and rider. The competition will run March 14 from 8 to 11 a.m., with teams navigating natural and man‑made obstacles within a five‑minute limit. Judging will focus on precision, execution and partnership.

The Trail Challenge is limited to 30 teams, and early registration is encouraged. All entries compete in the Open division and may also enter one additional qualifying division: Non‑Pro, Youth or Green. Payouts total more than $2,000.
