OAKDALE, Calif. — Stephen Michael Chohrach, 76, of Oakdale passed away of natural causes Nov 19, 2025, with family in spirit.

Stephen was born in Bradford, Pa., on April 17, 1949, to Anna and George Chohrach. He graduated from Bradford High School in 1967 and worked at a car dealership in Bradford. He moved to San Jose and obtained employment at General Electric.

In 1968 he joined the U.S. Army and served 4 years with service time in California and Washington. He was honorably discharged in October 1972. He continued his employment with General Electric for 49 years of service time.

Eventually he moved from San Jose to Modesto, where he met his wife, Donna Long, and they were married in August 1991. Donna and Stephen then built a home in Oakdale in 2007, and he retired from GE in 2017.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and George; and brother Joseph Chohrach.

He leaves his loving wife of 34 years, Donna; his sister, Theresa Shelley; brother Francis Chohrach (Bonny); brother-in-law, Michael Miller; and a daughter, five nieces, two nephews, several great-nieces, -nephews and cousins.

There are no planned services.

Stephen’s remains will be interred with Chohrach family plots in Cloverdale Cemetery, Boise, Idaho.
