Darlene Shoff

DUKE CENTER — Darlene Dell Shoff, 69, of Duke Center died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, after moving in with family for her new home.

She was born July 8, 1956, in Bradford, a daughter of the late Donald and Dorothy Fox Shoff.

Darlene was a graduate of Otto-Eldred High School and received her associate degree from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she became an avid Steelers fan. Darlene worked for several years at the Seneca Allegany Casino. She was a proud member and supporter of AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) where she earned her 44 years’ sobriety medallion. She later worked for many years as an aide at Maple Manor, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, and volunteered her time speaking and offering counseling to inmates. During her free time, she enjoyed visiting local casinos and spending time with her best friend. Darlene was very artistic and loved working with ceramics and different crafts and airbrushing.

She is survived by her sister, Sabra (Donald) Miller of Columbiana, Ohio; nephew, Eugene (Cariann) Miller of Sayre; and her lifelong best friend, Sandy Kerr of Duke Center.

In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by a nephew, Jeremy Ray Miller.

The family will conduct a memorial service at noon Saturday (Sept. 13, 2025) at Duke Center United Methodist Church, 26 Oil Valley Road, with the Rev. Bethany Rosler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Darlene will be laid to rest with her parents at McKean Memorial Park, Lewis Run.
