The Fretz Owls improved to 2-1 on the season Tuesday, defeating Northern Potter 9-1.

Leading the way for the Owls were Porter Gilligan with two goals, Cooper Swank with two goals and one assist, Landon Fitzpatrick with one goal, Finley Neighbour with one goal and one assist and Mason Polling with one assist.. Also contributing one goal each were Nigel Bender-Jack, Declan Dragoon and Gabriel Schuster.

Colin Lundgren had four saves in goal for the Owls.

The Owls will return to action Sept. 8 as they host Ridgway. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.
