During its Sunday morning workshop service, Port Allegany United Methodist Church dedicated a new glass window created by local artist Julie Mader and given in memory of Lloyd and Dolores Eastman. Family members gathered for the occasion. The Eastmans were active, longtime church members. As part of the design process, Mader asked the family for some details that would remind them of their loved ones to incorporate in the painting, including blue birds, groups of flowers to represent their children and blue dots to represent their grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Seventy white segments framing the window represent the Eastmans’ 70 years of marriage.
