Bradford ties with Coudersport
The Lady Owls had their best showing of the season, improving by 13 strokes from their previous best. Despite the impressive effort, the cross-county scoring system left them with only a tie against Coudersport.
Senior Cecily Bell led the way with a career-low round of 48.
“It was awesome,” said Coach Doug Atteberry. “She knew she needed a five on the last hole to break 50, and after coming up short on her tee shot, she chipped on and two-putted for a fantastic 48. She’s worked hard and deserves it.”
Addison Benson also recorded her lowest round of the season with a 66, while Payten Leet led all players with a strong 38, marking her return to the 30s. Daisy Greene had her best putting performance of the year, and Anna Benedict started strong with several solid swings.
In addition, Bella Davidson made her first career bogey, while Natalie Popiel and Lilly Glantz continue to gain valuable experience with strong shots and improving play that will benefit the Lady Owls moving forward.

Girls Tennis
St. Marys 5, Brockway 0
St. Marys defeated Brockway, 5-0, in girls’ tennis action Monday.
“The Lady Dutch bounced back nicely with aggressive play to get back on track. The ability to end points as quickly as possible was key for us tonight,” St. Marys coach Tim Henry said. “Some of the purposeful experimentation with different shots and tactics is helping us to shorten the points and play sharper, more focused tennis. That’s important on blustery days like this. This was a solid win for the Lady Dutch.”
