Area students receive alumni scholarships
Eight area students were recently awarded alumni scholarships through funds managed by the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation.
Halle Wilson of Otto-Eldred High School received a $2,500 Otto-Eldred Alumni Scholarship.
The Otto-Eldred Alumni Scholarship is given annually to graduating seniors who have maintained at least a 2.75 GPA and received acceptance to, preferably, a two-year college or a four-year program.
Wilson plans to study forensic science at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, Mansfield.
Alexa Saunders and Tyler Richards of Hinsdale Central School received the Hinsdale Alumni Association Memorial Scholarship, a $1,500 award.
Bianca Simons and Evan Snyder of Olean High School received the OHS Class of 1961 Scholarship for $700.
Chloe Hall of Olean High School received the OHS Class of 1983 Scholarship for $500.
Noah Gallo and Tatiana Warmley of Olean High School received the Olean High School Alumni Association Scholarship.
