St. Marys 159, Ridgway 176
The Saint Marys Dutchmen golf team improved to 3-1 with a win over the visiting Ridgway Elkers in a match played at the Bavarian Hills Golf Course Wednesday afternoon. The Dutch squad posted a team score of 159 to Ridgway’s 176. Leading all scorers was Kai Caskey of the Dutch with his round of 38. He was followed by teammate Dakota Cousins and Ridgway’s Parker Calla with 39’s
Adding to the Dutch total were Jayce Walter 40 and Cameron Coudriet 42. In the scoring for the Elkers were Frank Miller 45 and Max Schreiber and Bryce Porter each with 46. Also playing for the Dutch; Parker Saline 46 and Carter Hoffman 51 and for the Elkers; Aiden Bender 52 and Eli Myers 55.
“We were able to get our entire squad out on the course today and I am seeing improvement in everyone’s game. We have some tough matches in the next few weeks so I hope this effort carries through” stated Coach Bob Bauer.
The Dutch are back in action Friday afternoon when they travel to Brookville for a 3:30 contest at the Pinecrest Country Club.

Oswayo Valley defeats Bradford, 28-27
Oswayo Valley’s top golfers were Rachel Rathbun with a 61 (7), Aubrey Resig with a 60 (8), Reese Thompson with a 67 (6), Brooklyn Pearce with a 70 (3.5) and Makiah Jandrew with a 70 (3.5).
Leading Bradford was Payten Leete with a 43 (10), followed by Cecily Bell with a 59 (9), Daisy Greene with a 68 (5), Natalie Popiel with an 85 (2), Anna Benedict with an 89 and Lilly Glantz with an 87.
