    Thompson wins 20th Annual David Hutton Memorial

    EMPORIUM – A total of 85 runners (50 males and 35 females) and 39 walkers participated in the 20th Annual David Hutton Memorial 5K Run and 2-Mile Walk.

    Harley Thompson of St. Marys was the first overall finisher with a time of 16:32.47. Falyn Kiebler of Clarksburg was the first overall female finisher, finishing in 22:28.59.

    Julie Lang, 71st overall with a time of 34:41.21 was the recipient of the “Citius, Altius, Fortius” award for most improved time from the previous year with an improvement of 3 min. 41 sec.

    This years’ $1,000-Scholarship recipients were: Sienna Conklin of Kane; Gabriella Pistner of St. Marys and Malachi Lewis of Northern Potter.

    The David Hutton Memorial Race Committee would like to thank all of the volunteers, participants, and sponsors, and we extend a special thanks to the State Police for keeping everyone safe on the race route this year.

    1 Katie Straub – 21 overall, 23:48.83; 2 Martina Mawn – 22 overall, 23:49.44; 3 Amelia Meyer – 23 overall, 24:03.88; 4 Lilly Sidelinger – 59 overall, 30:47.61; 5 Cameron Irwin – 85 overall, 44:55.64.

    1 Delaney Hildebrand – 31 overall, 25:46.34.
