Meet the Queens Night in Mount Jewett
MOUNT JEWETT — The Mount Jewett Rotary Club held its annual Meet the Queens Night at Forty Acres. The queen candidates were escorted by Amy Goodman, assistant coordinator for this year’s McKean County Fair. Each of the queen contestants gave a speech to the club, highlighting their activities and accomplishments and each described the events for a particular day at the fair.
Keeping with tradition, Rotary Club President Will Keesler presented each of the contestants with a jar of pickles and flowers. He told them that Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self” and that, “We so appreciate all (the candidates) do not only for the fair but for their own respective communities.” He wished them well on all their future endeavors.
Special thanks to Rotarian Jim Trussell for once again hosting the annual event, Rotary representatives said in a press release.
