Carol Neely
Carol L. Neely, 92, formerly of 1179 High St., passed away Monday (Aug. 11, 2025) at Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Born Feb. 11, 1933, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Leon P. and Imogene B. Stoutenburg Bentley. Carol graduated from Bradford High School in 1951.
On April 25, 1952, in Bradford, she married James W. Neely, who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 2014.
Carol worked at Loblaws and Proper’s. She owned and operated Carol’s Florist in Bradford for many years, and before retiring she was a floral designer at Bloomers.
Carol was an active member of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, Kinzua Quilters and Tuesday Quilters Group, and was an avid bridge player.
Surviving are three sons, Lynn (Amy) Neely of Olean, N.Y., Scott (Maria) Neely of Lewis Run and Jack (Mary Ellen) Neely of Bradford; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Jim, of 62 years, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Cole Neely; and one brother, Howard (Lorraine) Bentley.
Family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Ave., where funeral services will follow with the Rev. Ron Spencer, former pastor of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, officiating.
