Joyce Trummer
Joyce M. Trummer, 73, of Bradford passed away Tuesday (Aug. 12, 2025) at her home.
She was born May 6, 1952, in Olean, N.Y., a daughter of the late Otis Richardson and Patricia Burlingame Golden.
On Nov. 30, 2012, in Bradford, she married Dennis S. Trummer, who preceded her in death on April 5, 2023.
She was employed at Southeast Georgia Health System – Camden Campus, St. Marys, Ga., for 38 years until her retirement. While employed there she received the 2008 Nurse of the Year award; she was the first licensed practical nurse (LPN) in the hospital’s history to receive the award.
She was a member of John C. Roche VFW Post 212, Bradford, and a life member of the Derrick City Volunteer Fire Department, where she volunteered to help with their bingo fundraisers. She was an avid bingo player and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She has dearly missed her husband, Denny, for the past two years.
She is survived by one daughter, Nicole Kornacki of Warren; two brothers, William Richardson of Lockport, N.Y., and Alfred Robert Golden Jr. of Hinsdale, N.H.; two sisters, Diane Alcock of Bradford and Beverly Waldeck of Eldred; three grandchildren, Jordan Kornacki of Bradford, Korey Yale of Whiteoak, Ga., and Kelsey Yale of Whiteoak; one great-granddaughter, Karsyn Jo Kornacki of Bradford; and several loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Jason Yale; one daughter-in-law, Allison Yale; and one sister, Judith Abel.
A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
