Bradford golfers fall to St. Marys
ST. MARYS – The Bradford Owls boys golf team lost to St. Marys 169-173.
Tarren Reese recorded a 40 to lead Bradford. He had 5 pars and 3 bogeys in his round.
“Tarren is on the verge of shooting par. Ean Wright shot 41 with a birdie, 4 pars and 1 bogey. Ean shot a career low high school round,” Bradford Coach Travis Faulkner said. “Daniel Marasco was our 3rd scorer with a 44. Daniel had 2 pars and 5 bogeys. He is playing well and should have more confidence next match.”
Mason Close rounded out Bradford’s top 5 scoring with a 48, which included 2 pars and 3 bogeys.
“Mason keeps grinding around the course showing improvement in all areas of his game,” Faulkner said. “Freshman Adam Leet was just out of our scoring. His 49 had 5 bogeys. He is playing well considering he has the least amount of experience on our varsity team.”
Maverick Smith shot a 52 with a birdie and 3 bogeys.
“St. Marys is a tough team to beat at their course. They play it well but I think we are stepping up and giving them some competition,” Faulkner said.
The Owls host a match Monday with DCC at the Penn Hills Club.
