Former Bradford man jailed on gun allegations
A former Bradford man in state prison for a parole violation has been charged with having stolen guns and drug paraphernalia in May 2024.
Alex Green, 26, currently incarcerated at State Correctional Institute Smithfield at Huntingdon, is charged with two counts each of possession of a firearm prohibited and receiving stolen property, second-degree felonies; and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
On May 22, 2024, a state parole agent contacted Bradford City Police about drug paraphernalia he had found at the place where a parolee — Green — was staying. Police obtained a search warrant and went to the residence, ultimately finding two handguns and drug paraphernalia. The guns had been taken from Green’s parents’ home without their knowledge, the criminal complaint stated.
Green was arraigned Friday before District Judge Rich Luther and bail was set at $75,000. He is scheduled for Central Court on Aug. 21.
