Sizerville plans educational programs
AUSTIN — Environmental education programs have been scheduled for Sizerville State Park for this weekend.
At 3 p.m. Saturday will be a program on Monarch Mania. Held at the Environmental Learning Center, the program will include a short talk on monarchs followed by going on a butterfly walk. Wear sturdy shoes and nets will be provided.
At 8 p.m. Saturday will be the program Strong & Secretive: Black Bears of PA with guest speaker Game Commission Black Bear Biologist, Brandon Snavely at the Campground Amphitheater. The presentation will cover black bear information, research and management. He will also share what his job consists of and how the PGC helps the black bear population. Feel free to bring snacks and a blanket.
