Annual Crook Farm music festival set for Aug. 21 to 24
A relaxed atmosphere filled with impromptu jam sessions, rough camping, musician-led activities — it’s what Crooktop is all about.

Also known as Crooktop, the festival will include workshops, jam sessions, an instrument swap, a jam/song tent, a Friday dance, a Saturday evening potluck and a Sunday morning breakfast and gospel sing around.
For anyone just wanting to listen, admission to the festival is free.
As for musicians, early arrivals are welcome. From Aug. 18 to 20, fresh air, rough camping will be available all week anywhere on the farm. Running water bathrooms will be available in the Bank Building all week.
At 7 p.m. Aug. 19, a country, folk, bluegrass jam will be held in the Bank Building.
New this year, the Bank Building will be open for check-ins, ticket sales, merchandise sales and more. Cool off, relax with some water, coffee, doughnuts, buy some merchandise, get a map and a schedule of events, garbage bags, t-shirts, stickers and CDs.
The instrument swap will be in the Bank Building. Bring an instrument to sell and clearly mark the price and your name on the instrument, or bring “an old wall hanger” to sell and donate the money to the Landmark Society.

The schedule of events starts with the Aug. 21 Honky-Tonk Jam at 7 p.m. It is also the day the shower and Porta Potty are set up. The Honky-Tonk evening and play will be in the Bank Building with classic country, folk, old time and BG Sing.
At 10 a.m. Friday, volunteers will meet at the welcome/song tent for setup, and the welcome tent opens. At 7:30 p.m. will be the Friday evening community dance in the Bank Building with Ron Buchanan.
