Joseph Caruso has been chosen as the recipient of the Bob South Legacy Scholarship for 2025. Joseph, the son of Katie Close-Caruso and Mike Caruso, will be attending St. Bonaventure University to pursue a degree in Accounting.
Established to recognize and honor the incredible dedication Bob South made to our community through his support and involvement in local sports, this scholarship ensures that his legacy of community spirit and commitment lives on in the promising young individuals chosen each year.
The Bob South Legacy Scholarship is proudly supported by the proceeds from Paint the Town, a beloved annual event that brings pride and spirit to the entire Bradford community during Homecoming Week! This year, Homecoming is set for Friday, Sept. 26, when our Bradford Owls football team takes on Redbank Valley. As you stroll through town, you will see storefronts beautifully decorated in our vibrant red and black colors, showcasing our collective spirit.
New this year for Paint the Town: You will find special jars in participating stores, each representing one of our fall senior athletes. These jars are for voting purposes, where every $1 donated equals one vote for your favorite senior’s business decoration! You’ll be able to cast your votes directly at the participating stores or at the Homecoming game.
For the past two years, ABC Grow with Me has proudly taken home the winner’s title, and we hope to see even more businesses join in supporting the Bob South Legacy Scholarship this year. If you’d like to participate in Paint the Town, please contact bradfordfootballbooster@gmail.com. Paint the Town will run from Sept. 1 to Sept. 26.
