TOPS 16
The weekly meeting of TOPS 16 was held Wednesday, starting with members reciting the TOPS pledge.
Members sang “Zippy those pounds off.” Co-leader Jeanne Lowe and Assistant Weight Recorder Barb Smead weighed 11 members; 4 members were excused. The best loser in waiting is Theresa Bond. The fruit to try is pears, the veggie is mushrooms, food to avoid is ice cream, the nickelodeon was creamy sauces. Jennie Young won the food chart. Nan Stoling gave the secretary’s report. A smile was read, a joke by Jeanne Lowe. Elaine Harris gave inspiration and helpful hints. Chris McCracken gave a household hint. Members discussed the upcoming Fall Rally. We need a chapter cheer, raffle basket, and table decorations. Steps are to be counted for the last 2 days in July and turned in August 4. Members planned the picnic for Aug. 13.
Nan Stoling had the program. She talked about her recent weight loss and what inspired her. The meeting was closed with the friendship circle and members reciting the TOPS prayer. TOPS Club meets every Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall at the First Presbyterian Church. Weigh-ins start at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting starts at 1 p.m. All are welcome.
