Still time to apply: Foundation seeks apps to assist Northeast Potter County
SAYRE — The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers, through its Northeastern Potter Economic Development Association (NEPEDA) Fund, seeks proposals from non-profit 501 (c)3 organizations or charitable programs in the northeastern region of Potter County.
This includes Allegany, Bingham, Harrison, Hector, Genesee and Ulysses townships, and Ulysses Borough. This grant aims to enhance the quality of life in northeast Potter County, with a focus on job creation and retention, strategic planning and community promotion. The total amount available is $1,425 and may be awarded to one or more applicants based on the grant committee’s decision.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, municipalities, fire companies, ambulance associations and other qualified charitable programs. Funds may be used for public services, community programs, infrastructure upgrades, training and emergency needs, among other approved purposes. Operational costs may be covered only if directly related to the funded project. Funds cannot be used for political activities, debt reduction or unrelated administrative expenses.
The application process for the NEPEDA grant program has changed. Applications must now be completed and submitted directly through the website. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. Sept. 26.
