SMETHPORT — Carol Susan “Suzie” Johnson, 46, of Smethport passed away peacefully Tuesday (July 29, 2025) at Lakeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Dec. 27, 1978, in Port Allegany, the daughter of Karl A. and the late Carol E. Potter Johnson.

Carol Susan was a graduate of Smethport High School and Bradford High School.

A true light in life, Suzie loved everyone. May we learn from her. As in life, so in death.

She is survived by her father, Karl A. Johnson of Smethport; brother, August H. “Gus” Johnson of Smethport; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol, on May 2, 2017.

Services will be held privately with the family. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Memorials in Carol Susan’s name may be made to Hamlin Memorial Library.
