WARREN — The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service is accepting proposals for a recreation facilities concessionaire through a special-use authorization in the Allegheny National Forest.

The special-use authorization permits the management of 15 campgrounds, three independent boat launches and the Farnsworth Cabin. Two of the campgrounds currently offer privately owned rental cabins. Details about special-use permits, the concession program and policies, and the application process can be found in the prospectus online.

Applicants must submit a hard and electronic copy of their application package. Applications and fees must be received by 4:30 p.m. Nov. 21. If a permit is issued, operations are expected to begin by spring 2027.
