Two Bradford men arraigned on charges relating to knives
Two Bradford men were sent to McKean County Jail for unrelated arraignments involving alleged threats to others with knives.
Tyrone Harvey, 55, of 2 Bushnell St., Apt. 119, is charged with aggravated assault – extreme indifference, a first-degree felony; aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony; terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct and harassment, third-degree misdemeanors.
According to the criminal complaint, at 11:06 p.m. Monday, a Bradford City policeman responded to the front of the High Rise apartment building for a report of a man pulling a knife on another person. When police arrived, Harvey was walking in the front door of the building and was detained.
The knife was recovered in the picnic area, and witnesses said Harvey used it to assault the victim, that he had “advanced toward the victim in an aggressive manner and proceeded to pull a knife out of his pocket and hold it against the victim’s throat while making threats to stab him,” the complaint read.
Harvey was arraigned early Tuesday before on-call District Judge David Engman and remanded to McKean County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on July 31.
Shawn Loadholt, 45, of 10 Kiwanis Court, Apt. 2, is charged with terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct and harassment, both summary offenses.
At 10:23 p.m. Sunday, Bradford City Police were called to Veterans Square for a report of a disturbance involving a knife. Upon arrival, police were told by the female victim that a man later identified as Loadholt came at her with a knife in his hand, the criminal complaint stated.
Police were able to obtain surveillance footage from the city’s system. They were able to see a verbal altercation and that it escalated when Loadhult ran over to the victim “in an aggressive manner” while carrying something in his hand. It was later learned the object was a knife. Loadhult admitted to police he was using the knife to scare the victim, the complaint stated.
He was arraigned Tuesday morning before District Judge Rich Luther and remanded to jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on July 31.
