Port Allegany Class of ’75 marks 50 years
The Port Allegany Class of 1975 held its 50th class reunion this past weekend, beginning with a meet-and-greet Friday evening at the Moose Lode followed by a nostalgic tour of the high school Saturday afternoon.
Dinner at Veterans Memorial Inc. (VMI), just south of Port Allegany, capped the class get-together. Total attendance exceeded 100 people, organizers said, with 58 class members and five teachers in attendance.
A table was set up to honor those graduates who served in various branches of the U.S. military, while a memorial table lighted with candles displayed senior pictures and yearbook photos of 31 classmates who have passed. A third table displayed photos from seventh grade through senior year for each living class member.
Donated door prizes were selected at random for some lucky recipients.
