Theresia Street sewer replacement to begin
CLEARFIELD — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced sewer line replacement work along Theresia Street (Route 1005) in the City of St. Marys in Elk County will begin Monday.
PennDOT issued a Highway Occupancy Permit for the city to complete this work, which is not associated with a PennDOT project.
Starting Monday, the city will close Theresia Street between Brusselles Street (Route 120) and Hall Avenue, and traffic will follow a detour using John Street and Hall Avenue/Speer Street around the work zone. The detour will be in place Monday through Thursday. The city will cover all work zone signs at the end of each work week and reopen Theresia Street Friday through Sunday. It will close Theresia Street and reimplement the detour every Monday for the duration of the project.
The city expects to finish the replacement in approximately a month. All work is weather-dependent.
