    Kevin Hall

EMPORIUM — Kevin J. Hall, 63, of Emporium passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday evening (July 16, 2025), surrounded by his loving family after bravely facing a long battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 22, 1961, in Coudersport, Kevin was the son of Leona Havens Hall of Emporium and the late Jay-Don Hall. From a young age, Kevin was known for his strength, resilience and love of the outdoors, qualities that would define both his personal and professional life.

After attending Cameron County High School, Kevin served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Upon returning home, he dedicated his life’s work to the timber industry, working as a logger throughout the rugged hills and forests of Cameron County. He left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Kevin was a member of the Christabelle Club, the Vets Club, and the North American Hunting Club. He was an avid outdoorsman who found joy and peace in hunting, nature and the camaraderie of those who shared his passions.

Above all, Kevin cherished his family. He was a devoted father to Shyla Hall, Tashina (Shawn) Hall, Hunter Hall, Shenna (Tom) Reed, Dustin (Sarah) Stafford, and Dakota Stafford. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren, Laven Szuba, Lillian and Jamison Scrivener, Jaylen Hall, Aaliyah Bradley, Jarrett Scrivener, Deakin and Kohen Stafford, Gavin Linane, Garrett and Sara Reed, Shelby and Dominic Stafford, Brayden and Griffon Peterson and Adam Cowburn.

Kevin also leaves behind his loving mother, Leona; and siblings, Denise Hall, Candace Schwartz, Michelle Barr, Tracy Hall and Toby Nelson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of dear friends and extended family.

Kevin’s life was a testament to hard work, perseverance and deep devotion to those he loved. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart and the way he lit up when surrounded by his grandchildren.

In accordance with Kevin’s wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of his family. There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are under direction of Barnett Funeral Home Inc. Online condolences may be placed at BarnettFuneralHome.net.
