SMETHPORT — Hamlin Memorial Library will host an Ice Cream Social with the Twin Tiers Community Band at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The Duck Race originally scheduled for Sunday has been rescheduled to Aug. 1, “due to predicted weather and high water in the creek,” representatives said. If there is inclement weather Sunday, the ice cream and band will move inside the library, 123 S. Mechanic St.

Tickets to the Duck Race are $10 each. First place will win $300, second place $200 and third place $100.

The race will be held in conjunction with the Smethport Borough Touch-A-Truck event at the library the evening of Aug. 1. Call the library at (814) 887-9262 with any questions.
