Popular yogurt, toppings recalled over concerns about plastic in the food
(TNS) — The M&Ms, Oreos, Twix, and Snickers toppings included in containers of a popular yogurt are the cause of a nationwide recall.
On July 14, Danone U.S. voluntarily recalled 17 different varieties of its YoCrunch products “due to the potential presence of plastic pieces in the dome topper,” the recall reads.
The plastic pieces are transparent, might have sharp edges, and could be a choking hazard.
The yogurt cups were sold nationwide and affected all cups in various sizes and topping varieties.
The recalled yogurts include lot numbers and expiration dates ranging from July 7 to Sept. 4 in a number of flavors.
The recall urges consumers who have purchased the affected YoCrunch products not to consume them.
If affected customers would like a refund, they are asked to contact the YoCrunch Consumer Care Line at (877) 344-4886.
