Lumber Heritage Region announces board
EMPORIUM — The Lumber Heritage Region has announced a new board structure and officers, and welcomed Loren Kumher as a new member.
The board guides LHR’s mission of preserving, promoting and celebrating the cultural and economic value of the region’s forests.
Kumher, of Kane, was welcomed as a new industry board member, bringing valuable expertise and industry insight that will help strengthen LHR’s work across the region.
The board’s officers for 2025 were also named. Gary Lyons of Clearfield was named president; Katie Brooks of Smethport, vice president; Colleen Hanson of Wellsboro, secretary; Rachel Wolfel of Ridgway, treasurer.
Board members are as follows: Amy Shields of St. Marys, Jenny Picciano of Williamsport, Hunter Stauffer of Johnsonburg, Kumher, Josh Fox and Colleen Hanson, both of Wellsboro, Rachel Wolfel of Ridgway, Katie Brooks of Smethport, Gary Lyons of Clearfield, and Josh Zucal of Emporium.

The Lumber Heritage Region of Pennsylvania covers Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Forest, Indiana, Jefferson, Lycoming, McKean, Potter, Tioga and Warren counties.
