Chamberlain wins at Pennhills

The second leg of the 56th season was played Monday at Pennhills Country Club. Phinn Chamberlain (Kane) shot a solid 5-over-par 75 to beat Louie Nedzinski (Bavarian Hills), who carded a 79, by four shots. In Division II, Kai Caskey (Bavarian Hills) won his first-ever title by firing a 4-over-par 74, which was also the low round of the day. He topped Liam McArdle (Caledonia) by six shots; McArdle shot an 80 and has now finished runner-up both weeks.

In Division III, Kayd Caskey (Bavarian Hills) made it two straight wins by shooting a 40 to beat Carter Crabtree (Chautauqua), who posted a 44. In Division IV, Keegan Smith (Bavarian Hills) shot a 36 to edge out Kaysen Beaver (Cardinal Hills), who shot a 38.

In Division I girls, Elise Kartesz (South Hills) won for the second consecutive week, shooting a 52. The Division III girls winner was Molly Leslie (Bartlett) with a 58.

This year’s total registration reached 101, with 84 golfers competing at Pennhills on Monday.
