Portion of Genesee Mills Road to close for resurfacing
CLEARFIELD – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced the next portion of Genesee Mills Road (Route 1010) in Bingham and Harrison townships in Potter County will close Monday. This project will improve ride quality and extend the service life of more than 5 miles of roadway.
While the contractor completes this work, the road will be closed between Bingham Center Road (Route 1013) and Route 49. Traffic will follow a detour using Bingham Center Road, Collins Hill Road (Route 1015), Jackson Road (Route 1012) and Route 49. PennDOT anticipates this detour will remain in place for approximately five days while the contractor completes the work. This schedule is weather-dependent.
Work includes full depth reconstruction of the roadway and miscellaneous construction. Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. of State College is the contractor on the $1 million project. It is a separate contract from the resurfacing work that took place last week in Genesee and Bingham townships.
