Five Pa. judges invited to speak at Warren picnic July 19
WARREN — Five sitting state judges and two judicial candidates have been invited to speak in Warren on July 19 as part of the Democratic Committee of Warren County’s annual summer picnic.
The judges, all of whom are up for retention in the fall general election, are as follows: from the state Supreme Court, Justice Christine Donohue, Justice Kevin Dougherty and Justice David Wecht; from the state Superior Court, Judge Alice Beck Dubow; from Commonwealth Court, Judge Michael H. Wojcik and the candidates are Judge Brandon Neuman for state Superior Court, and Judge Stella Tsai for Commonwealth Court.
Community members are invited to hear directly from these distinguished members of the bench in a casual, welcoming environment. The picnic’s theme is “Justices For All.” The event is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. July 19, at Pellegrino’s Creekside Pavilion, 449 Conewango Ave., Warren.
Warren Democrats have collaborated with eight neighboring county Democratic committees to coordinate all their summer events over one weekend.
Guests will enjoy an evening of food, including pulled pork and pulled chicken, vegetarian options, side dishes, desserts, and drinks. There will also be a cash bar. Come join the community and have a meaningful conversation along the scenic banks of the Conewango Creek.
Because this year’s event features the distinguished panel of judges who are up for retention, and in the interest of supporting the courts and democracy, the Warren County Democratic Committee is making this event available to members of the public for any donation amount. The Warren County Democratic Committee is hosting the event at $20 per person, so reservations are required.
Reserve your spot today by making any donation amount at warrendems.org. Reservations may also be made by mailing a check payable to Warren County Dems to Warren County Democratic Committee, P.O. Box 862, Warren, PA 16365. On the memo line write “Picnic,” the number of people attending and your phone number.
