Sizerville State Park to hold free programs
EMPORIUM — Sizerville State Park is holding free environmental education program this weekend.
Beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday will be bird basics at the Environmental Learning Center. Join the park educator for all things birds. A short program on bird identification and how to use binoculars will be held, followed by a bird walk through the park. Binoculars will be provided, but feel free to bring your own pair. A water bottle and sturdy shoes are recommended.
At 8 p.m. Saturday will be the Film in the Forest: Owls at the campground amphitheater. How many owls are there in PA? Where can we find these nocturnal birds of prey? Come to this amphitheater program and find out some interesting facts about owls. A short talk will be followed by a movie — feel free to bring snacks and a blanket.
