Shirley Zebracki
FREDONIA, N.Y. — Shirley A. Roche Zebracki, 89, of Fredonia passed away Friday evening (July 4, 2025) at Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunkirk.
Born Nov. 21, 1935, in Kane, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Florence Swanson Roche and later the wife of the late Carl Zebracki.
Shirley was a beautiful soul who made new friends everywhere she went. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
In her free time, Shirley enjoyed reading, gardening and sewing. She delighted in sewing handmade treasures, often distributing her thoughtful gifts to friends and family. Her creations were more than just fabric; they were expressions of love and care that shared her joyful spirit with others.
Shirley’s family wishes to thank Dr. Sood and his wonderful nurses for their compassion and care. A special thanks to Amber for her generous visits and delicious baked goods. They would also like to thank the staff at Northern Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Facility for their support and assistance during Shirley’s ups and downs.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Joni Walaski (Sergio) Polanco and Lori Walaski; stepchildren, Eric (Laure) Zebracki, David Zebracki, Michael (Lynda) Zebracki and Susan (Joseph) Siracuse; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; one great-grandson and seven step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Carl Zebracki, Shirley was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Walaski.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Fredonia, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday (July 14, 2025) at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 334 Temple St. Interment will be held in Willowbrook Park Cemetery Columbarium.
