REV Theatre Co. tour in Bradford, Kane on Monday
On Monday, REV Theatre Co. will once again make its way to Bradford and Kane as part of its Summer 2025 tour. The performance will be the classic tale of “Rumpelstiltskin: Unspun,” written by Kyle Adkins.
The performance times are 11 a.m. at the Bradford Area Public Library and 4 p.m. at the Kane Area Children’s Museum. The free performances are part of the Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center’s summer program for children through grade 8, and are sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Bradford, BCPAC and KACM.
A description of the story follows: “The story of Rumpelstiltskin has been told and retold throughout the ages, despite its obvious flaws. When The Miller’s Daughter starts to question her father’s poor decision making, her King’s greediness, and the shady deal proposed by a funny little man, the whole fairy tale begins to unravel. The Miller’s Daughter breaks through the fourth wall and enlists the help of the audience to fix her broken story and spin a new tale.”
The REV Theatre Company is based in Auburn, N.Y. and presents classic and contemporary works, new musicals, and in-school arts education for a diverse audience, to spur social awareness and cultural development in the Finger Lakes region and beyond.
“The company has visited the Bradford area annually for the last several years, and we are excited to partner with our friends at the Kane Area Children’s Museum to bring this free performance to Kane as well,” said Darren Litz, executive director for BCPAC.
