Pickup swipes cyclist, leaves scene
Pennsylvania State Police responded early July 3 to a bicyclist struck by a passing vehicle on West Warren Road.
At 5:38 a.m. Lewis Run-based state police were dispatched to Route 770, just south of Songbird Road, for a hit-and-run involving 41-year-old cyclist John Vanyo Jr. of Bradford.
Vanyo told police he was on the berm riding west when a white Dodge 1500 pickup also traveling west sideswiped him and left the scene without stopping. Police reported finding broken pieces of a passenger side mirror at the scene.
Vanyo was taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center by Bradford City Fire Department ambulance with a suspected minor injury.
